UFC 202 ticket prices cut by up to 40 percent
It looks like the second fight between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz isn't as must-see as the UFC was expecting.
In the past 24 hours, the promotion has slashed ticket prices on both upper-bowl and premium seats for UFC 202 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday.
According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, upper-level tickets have been cut from $365 to $215, a 41-percent drop. Meanwhile, Octagon-side seats took a 20-percent hit. Earlier this week they were valued at $9,995, but are now available for $7,995.
Along with the McGregor-Diaz rematch, UFC 202 also features a clash between top-10 light heavyweights Anthony Johnson and Glover Teixeira, and a welterweight tilt between Rick Story and Donald Cerrone.
MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani noted on Thursday that the normally fervent Irish following of McGregor appeared to be absent, which may have affected ticket sales.
Had the pleasure of covering 8 of McGregor's 9 UFC fights & worth noting that 2day's open workouts were about 30 mins away from the strip...

... But I've yet to see such a small Irish contingency before his fights. Maybe tomorrow will be different, but so far it's been surprising.
