Wilson Reis was supposed to be competing for a world title at UFC 201, and he fought like it when he choked out Hector Sandoval in under two minutes.
The 31-year-old flyweight was originally booked to face divisional champ Demetrious Johnson, but after an injury removed Johnson from the bout and another replacement was cancelled, Reis lost out on a juicy co-main event spot.
On the preliminary card Saturday, he let out his frustration on Sandoval, finishing the newcomer at 1:49 of the opening round with a rear-naked choke to record the fastest submission in the history of the UFC's 125-pound division.
