Serrano-Benoit replaces Scoggins-McCall on UFC 201 main card
The flyweight bout between Fredy Serrano and Ryan Benoit, originally scheduled as the first preliminary bout at Saturday's UFC 201, has been moved to the main card, the promotion announced Thursday.
The fight will replace the Ian McCall-Justin Scoggins flyweight matchup after Scoggins was removed from the bout due to weight-cutting issues.
Benoit (8-4) is replacing Ray Borg, who suffered an injury, in the fight against Serrano (3-0), which is the third flyweight fight to be scheduled on the main card.
Demetrious Johnson vs. Wilson Reis had been set to fight for the flyweight title in the co-main event before Johnson was removed due to injury.
The UFC 201 will be headlined by a welterweight championship bout between champion Robbie Lawler and Tyron Woodley.
