Burleson recalls Brock Lesnar suplexing opponent in training camp
Former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Nate Burleson reminisced Friday about seeing a young Brock Lesnar show off his ridiculous strength during his brief NFL career.
Burleson claims he watched Lesnar suplex a Kansas City Chiefs player during a joint training camp session.
"Somebody cheap-shotted Daunte Culpepper late and Brock was like, 'who did it?'" Burelson said on NFL Network. "The next play he went and suplexed the guy. ... He picked up a grown man after the play. It was a royal rumble."
Lesnar attempted to do the same thing to a 260-pound Mark Hunt on Saturday, but had to settle for a decisive three-round victory in his return to the Octagon.
Lesnar's football career ended in 2004, when he was unable to crack the Vikings' roster, but the athletic WWE superstar still made an impression on opponents and teammates alike.
