While Anderson Silva and Daniel Cormier are two of the greatest talents in the UFC, they didn't exactly thrill the crowd at the MGM Grand on Saturday night.

The fans at UFC 200 didn't appreciate Cormier's strategy to wrestle Silva, who fought on two days' notice, for much of the bout. The lack of striking action isn't what people expected when the card was initially announced with Jon Jones set to face Cormier, and those in attendance responded with waves of booing.

The 37-year-old light heavyweight champion was happy to get the victory, but disappointed by the crowd reaction.

"I can't really pay attention to that anymore," Cormier said about the boos, according to Damon Martin of FOX Sports. "First time it happened, I kind of got angry, I was upset, I tried to explain that it didn't make any sense, but now I can't really try and dictate people's emotions. I can only take care of what I can take care of."

Since his biggest rival was removed from the card due to a positive doping test, it's been a whirlwind for Cormier.

"People don't understand the situation that I've been in over this past week. For me to go out there and get a victory over someone like Anderson Silva, that's enough for me," he said.
