There was no shortage of bad blood at Sunday's derby between the New York Red Bulls and New York City FC.
Ahead of kickoff, supporters from both clubs clashed in a cringeworthy reminiscence of the hooliganism that engulfed English football in the 1980s.
Once kickoff arrived, however, the violence turned to trolling, as Red Bulls supporters unveiled a tifo reading "City Retirement Home." It featured caricatures of 37-year-old Frank Lampard and 36-year-old Andrea Pirlo holding their backs with one hand and canes with the other.
The Red Bulls went on to win the match 2-0, courtesy of goals from Bradley Wright-Phillips and Felipe Martins.
