Desperate times call for desperate measures, apparently, as some El Salvador players have resulted in baiting the United States into reacting to their ludicrous tactics.
With El Salvador trailing 2-0 in the second half of Wednesday's Gold Cup quarter-final fixture, Henry Romero appeared to have taken a page out of Luis Suarez's book of dark arts when Romero was captured taking a bite out of the back of Jozy Altidore's shoulder.
The American forward immediately went tumbling to the ground in pain, while Romero went unpunished.
Romero's antics didn't end there, as he was also captured pinching Altidore's chest during the match.
