The rapturous reception at O'Hare airport in Chicago was a far cry from the past several months at Old Trafford, where Bastian Schweinsteiger was largely ignored.

The former Manchester United midfielder was at the center of attention shortly after his plane touched down, as throngs of Chicago Fire supporters welcomed their newest signing.

Schweinsteiger - who might make his debut Saturday against the Montreal Impact - will hold his first press conference Wednesday afternoon.
