Red Bulls' Ouimette victim of vicious blindside attack while leaving pitch
USL
New York Red Bulls II defender and Canadian international Karl Ouimette was the victim of a blindside attack in USL action Saturday.
Ouimette tussled with Pittsburgh Riverhounds striker Romeo Parkes toward the end of the match, and the two earned their marching orders as a result of the scuffle.
Seconds later, Parkes launched himself at an unsuspecting Ouimette, who fell to the ground and required the help of a stretcher to leave the field of play.
Ouimette's condition is unknown.
The 23-year-old was loaned from New York to the USL side after the arrival of veteran centre-back Aurelien Collin.
