Orlando City midfielder Antonio Nocerino received a one-match ban Thursday for rushing onto the field of play to celebrate a goal after he had been substituted.
The 31-year-old Italian will miss Orlando's trip to the New York Red Bulls on Sunday as a result.
In a manic game against the New England Revolution last Sunday, striker Kevin Molino scored what would've been the winning goal for the Lions in second-half stoppage time. Nocerino, who had been replaced by Servando Carrasco in the 90th minute, then violated MLS policy by entering the field of play to embrace Molino.
The former AC Milan midfielder has appeared in four games this season as he gets accustomed to a new life and career in the U.S.
