No one in St. Louis Cardinals history has more starts behind the dish than Yadier Molina.

This was start No. 1,381 for the veteran, surpassing Ted Simmons, who played for the Cardinals from 1968-80.

Over a 13-year career, Molina has not only cemented himself as the game's best catcher, but one of the most durable.

Since being promoted to the club's full-time catcher, he's started at least 106 games every season, while completing most of them. On top of being the every-day guy behind the dish, it's been difficult for runners to take bases from him on a consistent basis.

Over his career, he's thrown out 45 percent of would-be base-stealers (284 out of 354).
