He just couldn't resist.

While attending the most significant press conference of his baseball career, Ken Griffey Jr. received his Hall of Fame cap Thursday, and promptly turned it backwards.

Griffey, who revolutionized the look during his playing days, was understandably elated one day after being named part of the 2016 Hall of Fame class with catcher Mike Piazza.

"Mike wore it backwards more than I did," Griffey joked after turning his cap around.

Griffey also squashed speculation his Hall of Fame plaque would feature him with a backwards hat, instead opting for the traditional approach of a forward Seattle Mariners cap.
