Granderson's first home run of the postseason was the 15th of the playoffs for the Mets, who took a 2-1 lead over the Royals with the tiebreaking blast.
The veteran slugger entered the World Series batting .314/.405/.457 through nine playoff games, but hadn't hit a home run since the final day of the regular season.
