Houston Astros catcher Jason Castro has been struggling mightily at the plate as he attempts to play through a quad injury, but manager A.J. Hinch continues to put him in the lineup for his game-calling ability.

Not only did Castro call another great game behind the plate for staff ace Dallas Keuchel, but he also delivered a two-run single in the bottom of the fifth to give Houston a 2-1 lead.

"The guys that got on ahead of me really set the stage. (Luis) Valbuena with the walk and (Chris) Carter with another hit - it was huge," Castro said postgame. "That gave me the opportunity to come up and just try to put something in play, and they were tough all day today, making good pitches. I was just trying to get something out over (the plate) that I could put in play in the middle of the field and at least get one in, and luckily enough we got them both."

Castro had just one RBI in his final 17 games of the regular season, and was 0-for-9 in the postseason coming into the at-bat.
