Bautista exited opener with hamstring tightness
Dan Hamilton / USA TODAY Sports
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista left Game 1 of the American League Division Series in the ninth inning due to hamstring tightness. He is expected to be in the lineup for Game 2 on Friday.
Bautista didn't take the field for the top of the ninth, and was seen heading down the tunnel to the clubhouse. The live broadcast of the game speculated he may have cramped up.
Dalton Pompey replaced him in right field for the Blue Jays.
Bautista launched his first career playoff homer earlier in the contest, and Toronto was trailing 5-3 at the time of his exit.
