Wrigley Field 'all clear' after bomb threat forces stadium evacuation
Wrigley Field was deemed 'all clear' after the stadium was evacuated due to a bomb threat hours after a 2-0 Chicago Cubs win over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday
A policeman told reporters that the stadium receives dozens of bomb threats each week, but "this one was more credible." Bomb-sniffing dogs were on the scene and police surrounded the premises.
The Giants buses, along with fans, had already left the stadium by the time ballpark personnel - including media, security, and vendors - were evacuated, according to Chicago baseball writer Bruce Levine.
The Cubs released a statement following the game saying that "no evidence was found to suggest this threat was credible" after the facility was searched by law enforcement officials. The team added it will be working with the authorities to "pursue the person who initiated this threat."
