The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms with first-round pick Carson Fulmer on a deal that includes a $3.47-million signing bonus.

The Vanderbilt right-hander was selected eighth overall in the 2015 First-Year Player Draft by the White Sox, and will celebrate the occasion by throwing out the first pitch at U.S. Cellular Field on Friday night.

The 21-year-old compiled a 14-2 record with a 1.83 ERA and 1.03 WHIP in 19 games for Vanderbilt in 2015, and is widely considered one of the top arms in this year's draft class.
