Minnesota Twins (39-34) at Milwaukee Brewers (28-47), 2:10 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - The start of a 10-game road trip didn't go as planned for the Minnesota Twins, as they resume a series with the Milwaukee Brewers Saturday at Target Field.

The Twins dropped a 10-4 decision to the Brewers on Friday in the opener of this three-game set and the hosts stormed out to a 10-1 lead by the second inning. Brian Dozier started the game for the Twins with a home run, but the Brewers put up a six-spot in the bottom half.

Gerardo Parra went deep to start the frame, Ryan Braun added an RBI single and Jean Segura plated a pair of runners with a base hit to highlight the frame. In the second inning, Carlos Gomez scored Braun with a single, Aramis Ramirez belted a two-run homer and Scooter Gennett clubbed a solo shot.

Trevor May started for Minnesota and was victimized to the tune of six runs -- five earned -- and six hits in just one-third of an inning. Alex Meyer gave up four runs in relief, including both homers in the second inning.

"There were a couple of good pitches hit," May said. "Sometimes things are going to fall for the other team and you have to do your best to limit the damage. I didn't limit any of it."

Dozier finished with three hits, Trevor Plouffe hit a two-run home run and Joe Mauer finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored in Minnesota's fourth loss in the last six games.

The Twins will be without top prospect Byron Buxton because of a sprained left thumb suffered on a steal attempt Tuesday versus the Chicago White Sox. Buxton was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday. He is batting .189 in 11 games.

Minnesota will also visit Cincinnati and Kansas City on the trek, and has lost three in a row and four of the last five as the guest.

The Twins will send Kyle Gibson to the mound Saturday and he has a 4-6 record to go along with a 3.35 ERA in 14 starts. Gibson has lost three straight starts and the Twins are 0-4 in his last four outings.

In an 8-0 loss to the Chicago Cubs, Gibson was reached for just two runs in five innings to suffer the defeat. He is 1-3 in six road assignments and 0-1 with a 6.23 ERA in two career starts against Milwaukee.

Milwaukee has won three of its last four games and watched Kyle Lohse become the 14th pitcher in MLB history to defeat all 30 MLB franchises. Lohse allowed four runs and six hits in six innings, and was bailed out by the offense.

"It's an accomplishment I'm proud of," Lohse said. "I've been around and that proves I've had some longevity and done some things in this game."

Matt Garza will handle pitching duties for the Brewers Saturday and is 4-9 with a 5.48 ERA in 15 games (14 starts). Garza has lost back-to-back starts and was hammered in Sunday's 10-4 loss at Colorado, permitting 10 runs (7 earned) and 13 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Garza struggled in a June 16 start versus Kansas City and yielded six runs and 13 hits in 6 2/3 frames of a 7-2 setback. He has faced Minnesota four times in his career, going 2-1 with a 1.65 ERA. The righty has a 1-5 mark at home.

Milwaukee took two of three from the Twins in Minnesota earlier this month.
