Cubs' Mike Olt, Neil Ramirez hit DL; Denorfia activated

The Chicago Cubs placed right-hander Neil Ramirez and third baseman Mike Olt on the 15-day disabled list Friday.
Ramirez, suffering from right shoulder inflammation, had an MRI that revealed no structural damage. His placement on the DL is retroactive to April 16.
Olt, meanwhile, suffered a hairline fracture in his right wrist after getting hit by a pitch. Batting .133 with a .521 OPS, Olt's DL stint was backdated to April 15.
The Cubs activated Chris Denorfia off the 15-day DL and promoted top prospect Kris Bryant from Triple-A Iowa.
Bryant, batting cleanup and playing third base, is making his highly anticipated debut Thursday afternoon against James Shields and the San Diego Padres.
