McHugh breezed through two scoreless frames Thursday in the Astros' Grapefruit League opener, striking out three while walking one against the Phillies.
Analysis:"In terms of just kind of mental space, it's different because I've never been here, never broken camp with a team before," McHugh said. "It's different, but I'm excited because I'm honored to be called one of the five guys who gets the ball." The 27-year-old right-hander is likely to open 2015 as Houston's No. 2 starter behind Dallas Keuchel.
