Report: Francisco Liriano looking for average annual salary of $12 million over 3 or 4 years

Clubs looking to acquire the services of free-agent left-hander Francisco Liriano better have deep pockets.

The 31-year-old has draft-pick compensation tied to him after rejecting a $15.3-million qualifying offer from the Pittsburgh Pirates, but that shouldn't hinder his value as one of the top southpaws on the open market.

Liriano, who earned $6 million last season, went 7-10 with a 3.38 ERA in 29 starts for Pittsburgh in 2014.

The Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees, Kansas City Royals and the Pirates all reportedly have interest in Liriano.
