New York Mets third baseman David Wright left Sunday's game against Los Angeles Dodgers with a muscle spasm on the right side of his neck, the team announced.
Wright was removed from the contest in the bottom of the third inning prior to taking the field after singling to center in the top half of the frame.
The seven-time All-Star has been slowed by an ailing right shoulder this season, producing just eight homers in 122 games. His .265/.323/.368 hitting line represents the lowest rates of his career.
