New York Mets prospect Noah Syndergaard underwent a CT scan on his injured shoulder Friday afternoon and the results will leave him on the shelf for about a week.
Syndergaard was diagnosed with a strained a/c joint in his left shoulder and will require five-to-seven days rest, after X-rays and CT scans came back negative, according Marc Craig.
The 21-year-old right-hander injured his non-pitching shoulder Thursday while covering home plate. He had just returned from the disabled list after suffering an elbow injury.
