New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter became the 28th player in major league history to reach the 3,000 hit plateau on July 9, 2011 and on Monday, the future Hall of Famer will sign a ball that also possess the signatures of those who hit the milestone before him.

Jeter has since added 362 more hits to his total since his solo home run off Tampa Bay Rays left-hander David Price at Yankee Stadium.
