The Seattle Mariners have placed Corey Hart on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday and replace him with hot-hitting prospect Nick Franklin in the outfield.
Nick Franklin was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma where he was hitting a sizzling .376/.481/.633 with seven home runs and 26 RBIs in 30 games since he was demoted by the Mariners in April.
Hart strained his left hamstring when he tried stealing second base on May 18 and will miss a significant period of time.
#Mariners expect Hart to miss 4-6 weeks with grade-2 hamstring strain.

He's hitting a poor .209/.295/.353 in his first season with the Mariners since signing with them as a free agent last winter.
