Though he's not entirely prepared to retire just yet, outfielder Rick Ankiel admitted Friday that he has yet to receive a contract offer from any big-league club.

Ankiel, who navigated a successful conversion from pitcher to outfielder several years ago, struggled mightily last season, managing a .194/.231/.484 line with five home runs across 65 plate appearances with the Astros, who ultimately released him in May. The 34-year-old found a job with the Mets shortly thereafter, but posted a meager .603 OPS with 25 strikeouts over 20 contests with the club before getting released in June.
