According to Mike Axisa of CBSSports.com, former Philadelphia Phillies flame-throwing closer, Ryan Madson, is working out for several teams on a private, one-on-one basis, as he aims to return from a two-year hiatus.
Madson missed the 2012 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery, just a year removed from closing 32 games for the Phillies. The Angels signed him a season later, but after complications during his rehab kept him off the mound, he was released mid-season.
He will likely garner a minor-league deal, after earning nearly $10 million over the last two seasons without making a single appearance.
