Scott Kazmir's reportedly hit the free-agent starting pitcher jackpot, signing a two-year deal with Oakland worth a reported $22 million, tweets ESPN's Buster Olney.

The deal has a couple of ramifications for the A's:

Bartolo Colon feels he can do even better -- more money and more years --than the two years, and $11-million annually Kazmir received, tweets Yahoo Sports' Jeff Passan.

Colon believes in himself, if nothing else.
