We've got more details on the reported deal between the Mariners and utility man Willie Bloomquist:
Told the Willie Bloomquist deal with the Mariners is expected to be for two years and between $5 million and $6 million total.

That's ... a lot of money for Willie Bloomquist.
The deal is pending a physical, writes MLB.com's Greg Johns, and should be announced later this week.
FanGraphs' editor Dave Cameron, who happens to be a Mariners supporter, would be used to this from Seattle, you'd think. But he isn't:
Nick Punto (good player, valuable reserve) gets $3M for 1 year from A's. M's give worse version a two year deal.

Punto's a far superior defensive option than Bloomquist, giving Punto a marked edge over Bloomquist when comparing the two players over the past three seasons.
