Boyd will see playing time against Oregon in Week 8, per Orange and Blue News.
Analysis:Boyd played sparingly last week against Michigan State in relief of Katin Houser, while freshman Michael Clayton got the majority of the work and played well, completing 6-of-8 passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Still, Illini head coach Bret Bielema told Big Ten network that both gunslingers will play against Oregon.
