The Seahawks waived Hankerson on Monday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Analysis:Hankerson caught on with the Seahawks on Aug. 17 and played 24 snaps (18 on offense, six on special teams) in Sunday's 19-16 preseason loss to the Titans, when he turned five carries into 10 yards and hauled in both of his targets for nine yards. The undrafted rookie out of Oregon State will attempt to catch on with a team in need of backfield depth and a contributor on special teams.
