Stanback sat out Monday's practice with a quad injury, the Florida Times-Union reports.
Stanback, who was activated from the Jags' practice squad near the end of last season, is competing for a roster spot at the tight end position. Coach Gus Bradley said Stanback might be out "a while," but he did not provide a firm timetable.
