The Toronto Blue Jays are bringing back right-handed reliever Yimi García on a two-year, $15-million contract, a source told KPRC's Ari Alexander.
García started the 2024 campaign with the Blue Jays before he was dealt to the Seattle Mariners at the trade deadline.
The veteran hurler's 2024 campaign was cut short due to right elbow inflammation in August.
The 34-year-old was excellent during his stint in Toronto, posting a 3.44 ERA with 10.3 strikeouts per nine innings and nine saves across 163 appearances.
García could be an option to slide into the closer's spot for the Blue Jays with Jordan Romano joining the Philadelphia Phillies on a one-year contract Monday.
