The Detroit Tigers and veteran right-hander Alex Cobb agreed to a one-year contract worth $15 million, the club announced Tuesday.
Cobb made three starts with the Cleveland Guardians last season, posting a 2-1 record with a 2.76 ERA and 1.04 WHIP after being traded to the Guardians from the San Francisco Giants.
The 37-year-old will join a Tigers rotation that includes AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal, Reese Olson, Casey Mize, and Jackson Jobe.
Cobb owns a career 3.84 ERA with 1,108 strikeouts across 13 MLB seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays, Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Angels, Giants, and Guardians.
