The Baltimore Orioles showed legitimate interest in left-hander Blake Snell before he ultimately signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
Snell inked a five-year, $182-million contract to join the World Series champion Dodgers on Nov. 30.
The Orioles are currently projected to enter the 2025 season with a starting rotation that includes Zach Eflin, Grayson Rodriguez, Dean Kremer, Albert Suárez, and Trevor Rogers.
Right-hander Corbin Burnes is the biggest name remaining on the free-agent starting pitching market after he spent the 2024 campaign in Baltimore.
The Orioles have also reportedly shown interest in free-agent left-hander Max Fried and veteran right-hander Nathan Eovaldi.
