Angels sign Hendricks to 1-year deal reportedly worth $2.5M

The Los Angeles Angels signed veteran starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks to a one-year contract, the team announced.
The deal is worth $2.5 million, reports Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
Hendricks, 34, is coming off a rough season with the Chicago Cubs in which he posted a 5.92 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 130 2/3 innings.
The righty has spent all 11 of his MLB seasons with the Cubs.
Hendricks' best season came in 2016 as part of Chicago's World Series-winning squad. He finished third in NL Cy Young voting after going 16-8 with a league-best 2.13 ERA (196 ERA+).
He owns a 3.68 ERA across 1,580 1/3 career innings.
