New York Mets manager Carlos Mendoza spoke on the team's decision to DFA reliever Jorge López following Wednesday's incident.
"We have standards here," Mendoza said, according to SNY. "Behaviors like that, we weren't going to tolerate that."
López made headlines Wednesday for throwing his glove into the stands after being ejected from the Mets' game against the Dodgers.

When speaking to reporters postgame, López was quoted as calling the Mets "the worst team in the whole f-----g MLB," but he later clarified on Instagram that he used the word "teammate" and was speaking about himself.
López reiterated that Thursday in a formal statement.

The Mets nonetheless deemed his conduct unacceptable.
"We made the decision, we addressed it, and now we've got the Diamondbacks in town," Mendoza said.
The Mets will have rookie Christian Scott oppose Zac Gallen as the club looks to snap its three-game losing streak.
