Aaron Boone is expected to come back in 2024 for a seventh season as manager of the New York Yankees, sources told SNY's Andy Martino.

The Yankees struggled in 2023, finishing with an 82-80 record to miss the postseason for the first time since 2016.

Despite a less-than-stellar season, Boone appears to still have the clubhouse's support, with star outfielder Aaron Judge recently backing the manager.

"He has been there for us in good times and bad times," Judge said in September. "The guy shows up and supports his players. You can probably tell by the amount of times he's been thrown out of games that he always has our back."

Boone took the Yankees to the postseason in each of his first five seasons at the helm, including a pair of ALCS appearances. The 50-year-old owns a career 509-361 record as manager.

His .585 career winning percentage in the regular season ranks eighth in Yankees history.
