Blue Jays' Romano named All-Star replacement for Astros' Valdez

The Toronto Blue Jays will have another representative at the All-Star Game in Seattle.
Closer Jordan Romano was named as a replacement Sunday, marking the second straight year in which he's been an All-Star.

The 30-year-old is enjoying another strong season, posting a 2.95 ERA, a 1.14 WHIP and 47 strikeouts across 36.2 innings. He also sits in a tie for the AL lead in saves with 25.
Romano joins teammates Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Whit Merrifield, Bo Bichette, and Kevin Gausman as 2023 AL All-Stars.
