A pair of Wednesday MLB games have been called off.

The New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox game and the contest between the Philadelphia Phillies and Detroit Tigers have been postponed due to poor air quality in New York City and Philadelphia.

The Yankees and White Sox will play a doubleheader Thursday at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET.

The Phillies and Tigers will play Thursday at 6 p.m. ET.

New York and Philadelphia are dealing with smokey, hazy conditions and an orange sky as a result of wildfires in Canada.

New York City currently has the worst air quality in the world and falls under the hazardous category, according to the World Air Quality Index.
