The Washington Nationals and outfielder Corey Dickerson agreed to a one-year contract Tuesday.

The deal is worth $2.25 million and also includes $750,000 worth of incentives that can push the total value to $3 million, sources told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.

Dickerson, 33, played 96 games for the St. Louis Cardinals last year, hitting .267/.300/.399 with six homers and 36 RBIs.

A 10-year veteran, Dickerson will be joining his eighth MLB team when he suits up for the Nationals. Before the Cardinals, the former All-Star had stops with the Colorado Rockies, Tampa Bay Rays, Pittsburgh Pirates, Miami Marlins, Philadelphia Phillies, and Toronto Blue Jays.

Over his decade-long career, Dickerson owns an .805 OPS (114 OPS+) with 134 homers in 1,033 games.

Amid a rebuild, Dickerson joins a Nats outfield comprised of Victor Robles, Lane Thomas, Alex Call, and Stone Garrett. Dickerson could also act as designated hitter, though Joey Meneses and Dominic Smith could likely get the majority of playing time there.
