Cardinals place Flaherty, Bader on injured list
The St. Louis Cardinals placed right-hander Jack Flaherty on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder strain, the club announced Monday.
The Cardinals also put outfielder Harrison Bader on the 10-day IL with plantar fascitis.
Flaherty, 26, departed his start Sunday after two innings with shoulder stiffness. He's been limited to just three starts this season due to injuries, posting a 5.63 ERA, 2.13 WHIP, and six strikeouts over eight innings.
#STLCards president of baseball ops Mozeliak hopes Flaherty will be back this season. Same issue as before, that being bursitis. Mo brought up original rehab plan. Flaherty pushed to return to STL with two scheduled rehab stints left. Team went with that wish. Now it wonders.

Bader, 28, has emerged as an effective all-around outfielder for St. Louis this season. He owns a .256/.303/.370 slash line along with five home runs, 21 RBIs, and 15 stolen bases in 72 games.
The Cardinals selected the contracts of outfielder Conner Capel and right-hander James Naile from Triple-A Memphis in corresponding moves.
