The Los Angeles Dodgers signed reliever Dellin Betances to a minor-league contract Tuesday, a source told The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.
Betances will be paid $2.75 million if he makes the team, with another $500,000 available in performance bonuses, reports Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
The right-hander appeared in just one game for the New York Mets last season as he battled a nagging shoulder injury that eventually required season-ending surgery.
Betances was one of the most dominant relief weapons in the league with the New York Yankees from 2011-19, making four straight All-Star appearances from 2014-17.
The 34-year-old owns a lifetime 21-23 record with a 2.53 ERA and 633 strikeouts in 394 1/3 innings.
