Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed reliever Corey Knebel will start Thursday's Game 5 against the San Francisco Giants.

The Giants already tabbed right-hander Logan Webb for the do-or-die contest. The winner will move on to face the Atlanta Braves in the National League Championship Series.

Left-hander Julio Urias was expected to start for L.A. and could still work in long relief out of the bullpen.

Knebel has appeared in 266 regular-season games and 11 postseason contests, but he didn't make his first career start until this year. The 29-year-old wound up making four total starts, starting a trio of bullpen games and acting as an opener for David Price once. He worked no more than two innings in each start.

The 2017 All-Star authored a 2.45 ERA and 2.90 FIP over 25 2/3 innings this year. In his starts, he allowed one run on six hits while striking out four over 5 2/3 innings.
