2022 MLB Draft order set after final day of season
The 2022 MLB Draft will take place in Los Angeles in conjunction with the All-Star festivities, and now after the final day of the 2021 season, we know which order the teams will come to the podium.
The Baltimore Orioles will make the first selection for the third time in franchise history. Most recently, the Orioles drew the first pick in 2019 and selected Adley Rutschman, who's currently MLB's top-ranked prospect.
The Houston Astros will also make their return to the first round after the club was stripped of its top selections in each of the previous two drafts because of the sign-stealing scandal.
Here's how the first round will play out next summer, barring any changes due to the free-agency compensation system.

The current collective bargaining agreement is set to expire following this season, so rules could change going forward that impact the draft order.
