Conor McGregor thinks some of the criticism he's received after bungling his ceremonial first pitch prior to a Chicago Cubs game earlier this week is uncalled for.

The UFC star took to Wrigley Field on Tuesday, and his throw wasn't even close to accurate. The baseball bounced off the backstop, forcing the catcher to go running after it.

McGregor compared his pitching form to 50 Cent's in an Instagram post Wednesday. The rapper's first pitch in 2014 is one of the all-time worst.

The former UFC two-division champion said his attempt "buries" 50 Cent's throw, adding he couldn't believe some people have the "audacity to compare mine with this piss."

Though not the most accurate, McGregor said he thinks his throw was the "most powerful and fastest" ceremonial first pitch in recent memory.

"Put me in the Wrigley Hall of Fame for that rocket launch," McGregor wrote, while also saying his toss came with venom, composure, and balance.

McGregor, who should stick to mixed martial arts, is coming off a doctor's stoppage defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July. He broke his leg late during the first round, extending his losing streak to two fights. The Irishman isn't expected to return to the Octagon until 2022.
