The Los Angeles Angels traded right-handed reliever Hunter Strickland to the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for cash considerations, the teams announced Saturday.
Strickland, 32, made nine appearances for the Angels after being acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays earlier this season.
The veteran reliever struggled to a 9.95 ERA and 9.94 FIP over 6 1/3 innings during his tenure with the Halos. Before being traded to Los Angeles, Strickland owned a 1.69 ERA and 3.08 FIP over 16 frames in Tampa Bay.
The Brewers bullpen ranks 17th in MLB this campaign by FanGraphs WAR. Milwaukee recently traded two important members of the relief corps - Drew Rasmussen and J.P. Feyereisen - to the Rays.
