Bill Murray: Kids should give up allowance to keep Cubs core together
Bill Murray has a radical idea on how to keep the Chicago Cubs' core together: Invoice the children.
During an interview on NBC Sports Chicago Friday, the actor, comedian, and lifelong Cubs fan jokingly suggested that the "children of the city ... begin giving up their allowance in the name of keeping this Cubs team together after they win the championship this year."

Murray also sarcastically added, "You can't expect (Cubs owner) Tom Ricketts to pay for everything."
Despite seemingly trending toward a rebuild this past winter by trading away Cy Young runner-up Yu Darvish and non-tendering Kyle Schwarber, the Cubs find themselves tied for first place in the division with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Even though the club is surprisingly competitive, there is some conjecture about what the front office should do with Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, and Javier Baez, all of whom are on expiring contracts. Bryant recently spoke openly about this season potentially being his last in Chicago or with Rizzo as a teammate.
