The Philadelphia Phillies and Brad Miller are moving toward a one-year deal valued between $3 million and $3.5 million, reports Jon Morosi of MLB Network.
Miller, 31, spent part of the 2019 campaign with the Phillies, hitting .263/.331/.610 with 12 homers and one stolen base over 66 games.
The utility man played the 2020 season with the St. Louis Cardinals, posting a .232/.357/.451 slash line with seven home runs and one steal over 48 contests while primarily playing at third base.
The former second-round pick has played eight seasons in the majors between six different teams. On top of the Phillies and Cardinals, Miller's spent three years each with the Seattle Mariners and Tampa Bay Rays. He's also made appearances for the Milwaukee Brewers and Cleveland Indians.
For his career, Miller owns a .737 OPS over 807 games, three percentage points above the league average, according to OPS+.
