Colorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado won his fourth consecutive Platinum Glove on Friday as the National League's best overall defender. Fans vote on the award, and every player who won a Gold Glove is eligible.

Arenado claimed his eighth consecutive Gold Glove earlier this week, and the superstar has been given the honor every season since breaking into the majors in 2013.

Meanwhile, in the American League, Kansas City Royals left fielder Alex Gordon was awarded his second Platinum Glove.

Gordon, an eight-time Gold Glove winner, announced that 2020 would be the final campaign of his career in late September.

Arenado, 29, endured a down year at the plate, but he still provided elite defense. Over 417 1/3 innings at third this past year, he saved 15 runs by DRS and 8.5 by UZR.

Gordon, 36, manned left field for 391 innings in 2020, tallying four assists and saving one run by DRS.
